Where to Eat
If you’re feeling adventurous, try what’s arguably Brooklyn’s best Sushi restaurant (among stiff competitors), Ki Sushi. On the other end of the spectrum, both geographically and stylistically, is one of Brooklyn’s best New American (yelp’s phrase for “chef-driven, artisanal”) restaurants, Buttermilk Channel. Where to Drink
Bar Great Harry is where James Joyce would hang if he were alive and a Brooklyner. It’s hands-down the best beer bar in a ‘nabe not known for its beer bars, but it holds its own even by Manhattan standards.
Wine bars are the feature – if you’re into low-key try the Black Mountain, which has a great wine list and impressive – if thin – food menu. When it’s time to pull out all the stops, head for the source: Buttermilk Channel.
